dear Shawn, I usually tell others who doubt they can do this to go ahead and try to do it anyway and see what happens. since your friend and you have a bond already it would be easier for you to make contact than say a stranger to this person. sometimes you can go into a meditative state and start making contact that way. just remember to be persistent to get beyond the doubt and I think you will do fine. also look to your dreaming state; friends and family can visit you within dream state the easiest way for the beginner my opinion. Bruce teaches the imagination door way first, both work ok or work together, so don't forget the imagination method. look under resources at the top of the page here, free articles you can read how to contact the deceased. theres so much info here, it just takes time to get thru it all. my best to you, alysia

Hi Shawn-
I just want to emphasize that most people who die do NOT need retrieving. I think there's a misconception about this point. Your friend knew, by shooting himself, that he was going to die. However, retrievals are usually needed when someone dies suddenly or unexpectably and find themselves disoriented and do not understand that they are "dead." The other thing to remember is, it's very difficult to select someone to retrieve. It's much more effective to allow yourself to be used to retrieve those who Helpers or Guides know actually needs retrieving. Retrievals aren't a parlor game as you might think based on some retrieval accounts posted on this website. They are a very serious undertaking and should always be preceded by a prayerful frame of mind. Don't be discouraged if your efforts don't work. I understand your feelings about your friend, but I think you will gain much more insight and understanding by helping anyone who really needs retrieving. Don't worry about who, just let Helpers guide the way and trust that they will ensure your efforts are directed at those most in need. Good luck. |
