Hi,  I've been lurking around for a while now, and have read quite a bit on NDEs and OBEs but have never had either experience.  I have this question.

During a NDE, the body is typically "clinically dead" so the experience of viewing the body and surroundings and storing the memory would seem to be the pure function of the spirit.  However, with OBEs the body is NOT "clinically dead" and therefore the circulation system and neurological functions would be available.  So the question is for those of you experiencing the OBE, are you conscious of concurrent events with both astral body and physical body at the time of the OBE?

not an expert on this, but feel I can reply. I have had one thing I would call an OBE. At the time I was completely unware of my normal surroundings experience. I was not aware of my body at that time, I was another form I would have said. Felt I met my cat, and another form. I was not aware of current events, completey taken into the OBE as I would describe it.
