i have been reading a few sites and am now immensly confused between what the list below really are and how their different to each other.

Astral Projection
Out Of Body Experience
Lucid Dreaming
Vivid Dreams

I added the last one just to compare with. I have dreams every night now, mabey a couple or more a night where when i wake up in the morning i remember them very very very clearly, and i feel like i was there doing all this, in fact i can remember doing it all just wasnt concious. Take it thats vivid dreaming...?

Another thing i had was when i was aware i was dreaming and then was in a lucid dream...possibly? it wasnt very controllable and it wasnt like lets look over there, hmm i want to go there....

basically i became aware i was dreaming when i was floating down the checkout till lines at my tesco store with people watching me who were at the tills lol?? i thought hang on i needed to get out of my body to have an OBE so suiddenly i was flung agaisnt a door real hard but it didnt hurt.... then without knowing i was looking at the edge of a door and there was papaer stuck inside which i tugged out and i cant rmeember what was written on it...i went to go downstairs (this just happened, i didnt say lets go downstairs and walked there..i just did?) and as i was going through the landing to the stairs i saw myself in the mirror, im not sure if i had a head or not but i didnt focus on it, i saw the rest of me just float past, i got to the top of the stairs and looked down and saw a door at the bottom (which isnt there in real life)...and that confused me, next minute i woke up :)

Not sure what that is now, i was there conciously but it wasnt very controlled at all..

if any1 could briefly outline the definitions above that would b very helpfull!

hi Ryan, i can only describe to you from my understanding....

Astral Projection and OBE are the same thing, except that astral projection may mean leaving your physical body and specifically traveling to a astral realm.

Lucid dreaming is when you are aware that you are dreaming. I'm not sure though if this is seperate from controling your dream or just being aware that you are dreaming. I supose you could be aware that you are dreaming and still not be in control.

Vivid I would think is just a regular dream with more clarity ?

I lucid dream almost everynight most of the time i can control the dreams. But when i realize im dreaming really hard i wake up when i assume to much control maybe?
