First of all I wanted to share my appreciation and acknowledgement of such a loving and supportive group, its not often you find people so willing to share with one another. It is very comforting....

Questions:

1) Do animals need to be retrieved? Same method?If not why dont they?

2) If the global warming thing/magnetic pole shift/'Day After Tomorrow' thing happens and we all die and we are all retrieved...then what? Monopoly tournamnets at focus 27 all day? What would our goal be?

3) Moen mentions that there are parts of yourself to retrieve.  Can I ask for help from people here to do that or do I have to do it on my own? I'd like to increase my level of sanity and am having some difficulty doing retrievals on others let alone myself. I have asked for my guides to help but am still in a mode of resistance to where I am not hearing the answers. I realize I need to be patient but I am felling a little hopeless and dont want to be 'stuck' here.

4) Why dont we have a focus 27 here on Earth to get fixed and reconnected? If the Monroe Institute is one of them why does it take so long to get 'it' even going there it doesnt just happen like the results of people dying and going to focus 27. I would make more trips if the$ were available. But even getting the opportunites to help yourself seem to be a struggle to obtain,a battle. Sometimes its hard to hang on with all the frustration. Im so scared Im going to spend the rest of my life here not getting anywhere or helping anyone else, why is it so hard to figure out how to do this? this has been a 23 year search.

5) How come I can never find anyone in the chatroom?  (smile)

I kinda raised this question in the " man on the brink" thread. but the way i see it is , no we wouldnt  be sitting around in spirit world with nothing to do,  you see all our mortal years are , is an acute learning curve designed by the powers that be to aid our souls in our quest for enlightenment, therefore i would venture going on that theory, the powers that be would find some other way to carry on teaching us . though why they cant just leave us alone to enjoy our loved ones in paradise , i dont know :(

Sometimes animals do need to be retrieved and the same methods are used. Dora here on the board once wrote of a retrieval she did of a dog that really touched my heart. I do wish she'd post it again as I can't find it in the archives.

Most animals pass over just fine and don't get stuck. The same with humans. I feel that abused animals are the ones that are the most likely to be stuck.  I once retrieved a bunch of horses that were so malnourished that they died. They were so happy to be led to fields of grass to eat and I saw a huge Light off in the distance that they went to. ;-)

The afterlife wouldn't be the same without our pets, would it? When I get there, I want my Kramer jumping and spinning in circles because he's happy to see me, just like he does here.  ;D  I remember Dora's story about the dog, but I don't remember the details. Maybe she can find it or retell the story.

As for global warming...did anyone else hear this past week that some environmental group now says the air is TOO clean and too much sunlight is getting through and it's causing even more global warming? I swear we just can't win with some of these people.

Chat room? I've been in there but usually alone. It'd be nice to have regular chats sometime with you guys.

If the world ended tomorrow, I'd be happy to move on and get exploring other places, meeting other people and just enjoying all the possibilities. Or finding another earth-like place and giving this kind of life another shot. It's eternity after all...places to go, things to do...you get the idea.

Dan, check out my new post on Sun Gazing. It's amazing really. I've been reading a lot about this and want to try it but don't get to see the sun too much lately because of a lot of clouds.  I've worn glasses for 55 years. It would be wonderful if I could get rid of them. ;-)

With the self-retrievals, how could someone help you? I think you do them yourself.

I was in a workshop of Bruce's and during that workshop one participant did a self-retrieval that she later wrote about here but I don't think the archives go back that far. Does anyone know if Janice's self retriveal is still around some where ? It unfolded like a regular retrieval but it was about herself.

Alyssia has written about a/some self-retieval but I find it hard to go back and find htis stuff, if someone can make a link to that it might be useful for Laurell to see how it works.

There have also been posts about pet retrievals. Some of those posts also date from the old board and I don't know how to find them. anybody have any links?

The reason that you don't find anybody in the chatroom is probably the same reason that I never find anyone there either. I suspect that this would require making a date to communicate, leaving the browser in "chat" mode or the equivalent.

As for why we aren't all enlightened and transcendental here on earth, perhaps those who were left, and those who aren't are still learning so that they can leave too. Personally, I'm still awaiting the arrival of my cosmic bus token.

hi Laurel. I started doing 2 or 3 retrievals a week a few years back (not now though) through using the imagination and asking invisible guides for help. I was just curious what would pop up in the imagination. I didn't know what the imagination was. it can lead you into some valid information. none of these retrievals seemed real, but it got me started in the right direction, so I played along (Bruce's words)

I used to just do other folks at first. wonder woman to the rescue, that sort of desire to fix things. then I started meeting guides in my dreams giving me hints and messages how to get my act together. they played a trick on me: I asked to do a retrieval on someone else, as nothing wrong with me, right? instead I ended up doing several self retrievals, and finding out later, this was me, my own self. so I kidded around with these guides I  imagine are there and who I meet within dreams. they are such great kidders. suprise! they said, we thought you should do a self retrieval. we knew u could deal with it.
doing some of these self retrievals, after I got over feeling tricked, and discovered I wasn't wonder woman after all, lol, caused me to lose some of my sadness I was carrying around as self retrievals are linked to a belief system you have about yourself, but you truly forgot you still believe this way, so now u retrieve the belief, so I would say go for it. look for the blank spot in the mind and see if there's a picture forming there then play along, trust the guides, I'm sure we all have guides willing to help us. maybe your guides won't play so many jokes on you! but they do make me face myself and what I believe.

Wow Lucy, both those newsletters were just what I was looking. for. I do wish there was more on animal retrievals, but what came to me while I wondered was that for the most part animals dont carry emotional baggage with them so they dont get stuck. That makes sense to me. Although I think we should be on the look out for animals more frequently. My limited experience has been that you get what you ask for in a retrieval and I doubt many ask for animals or is it that the helpers take you to where you are needed to go?

The newsletter on self retrivals was validating as I have done one on myself without even knowing.
I was at the Monroe Institute for the Gateway program. Toward the last day we were doing an exercise and the prep was to open up your imaginary box and take out stuff that was negative and holding you back, then when you were done you were to turn away from the box and begin the next part of the exercise As I turned away I could hear tapping in the box and the box was shaking. I couldnt believe it because that wasnt part of what I was 'imagining' I turned towards the box , mentally opening it and out came a 4 year old me. She was very shy and scared, I was surprised and said, How did you get in there? I realized before even finishing the question, my judgements about myself had locked her away. Her reply was "dont leave me anythere anymore, take me with you"  I was overwhelmed with emotion, tears, joy, knowing. I told her I was so very sorry, I hadnt realized I had left her in my judgement box and yes  would take her with me.
I thought the taking her with me meant through the exercise but we immediately flew very fast upward. Then I felt relaxed but the emotion was like a strong, strong, river current. I couldnt finish the tape and went to get a facilitator. I sobbed throught he whole story ( Im surprised she didnt recogniz it as a retrival) and felt the urge quite strongly to be outside, which I realize now was to get grounded and release the energy.

I cant tell you heartfeltly enough how important that was to me and the instantaneuos healing that occured. I would like for more of those retrivals to occur, in fact I just realized if I do do that I am looking at being able to get out of here to a better dimension. In fact maybe thats whats keeping us all here is the emotional belief that keps parts of us stuck....I do beleve Im getting this....

Hi Laurel,

You can do these self retrievals anytime. Just go into meditation and set your Intent to retrieve an aspect of yourself that needs retrieving. I've done this a lot intentionally. My first self retrievals were at Lifeline and they were fantastic.

I also believe that emotional beliefs is what is keeping us here in this dimension. ;-)

This really stuck with me, when we pass over, or say the world came to an end, why do we need to keep on learning?? actually i guess my question isn't why do we, but where does it lead too? Where will be taken too? Is it infinate??? aghh lol

The ultimate goal of all souls is to go back HOME to the source of all of which we are all a part anyway. Our lives here on earth and the lessons we learn are the stepping stones on the path back HOME.

Whats at home though?

And just to chuck something else in, i forgot where i read it from on this board, but it said we are just a part of our higher self which sends out a few lives at a time to this earth to learn before they go part to this higher self, then this higer self is part of a even higher self and so on.

not sure if your with me but at the very very top, 'home', does it lead back to one person, soul, spirit, entity???

if this is the case, we are all the same 'thing' just different branches of it learning and heading back up??

and if that is the case, where does this entity live, what does it do, and im confused now lol

Ryan, it sounds like you have the drift right, but don't ask me to explain what's at the end of everything. I'm not sure even Bruce could answer that. But as far as the higher self sending out separate versions of itself, etc., etc., that's my understanding. And that higher self is itself a part of a higher self, and on and on until you get to whatever's at the end.

See how clear it all is now? LOL

Dear Ryan, In regards to where home is I have found in reading, talks, personal experiences that HOME is a feeling not an actual place. Its an existance that cant be found here in this dimension becasue of the negativity, emotional baggage, continual dumping of every vile, evil thought. HOME or real love exists as a feeling outside here, the earth, and we can return to this existenceof love or home once we somehow get out of here. I believe its a perpetual feeling of completeness not a place.sometimes Im afraid death in itself wont bring me there, that if I dont learn or accept the proper amount of stuff Ill be doomed to keep comming back until I do....I hope its not that difficult because I really dont want to come back again....this sucks (at times) La
