Bruce, in you first book you mention something called the eye switch method. What is that?

(I need to know to translate it correctly into Danish. :))

You may want to address Bruce in the subject line of your message...the heading...as he is more apt to notice it and read it.  I have read all of Bruce's books, and for the life of me, I cannot recall this eye-switch method you spoke of.  Perhaps someone else here knows?

I vaguely remember the "eye switch" method
from one of his books. You said its in
his first book "Voyages into the Unknown"
Chapter VI? I couldn't find it on my first try.
Perhaps, can you specify a page
number. Hopefully, I've got the same edition.

I can check the page number when I get home - I'm at work right now - but it's just before "The Flowers, Rebecca and Coach". It says:

"To do so I was to first use my imagination to picture Rebecca in my mind, then picture the flowers and then picture myself going to the flowers.  After that I was to use something called the eye switch method as a signal to myself that I was ready to proceed with the exercise."

Thanks for your patience in showing us
where the 'eye switch method' is mentioned.

I agree that it is confusing and it is not elaborated on anywhere else in the book as far I can remember. But, we can gather that the technique either means one of two things. Either he actually switches between the left and right eye (which doesn't seem right to me) or he switches between his regular sight and his third-eye. People practice this to learn where there third-eye is and how look to through it. If he found this switch method was useful, I would've expected he would've included it in his guidebook, which I don't think he does.
We're going to need his input to get the final word on this unless it happens to be an esoteric TMI technique that a TMI graduate would know about.

 This is a technique taught to me by Rebecca.  You can think of it a way to signal to yourself, re-enforce the idea, that you desire to switch from using physical sight to nonphysical sight.  It is described in other esoteric practices also.

 With the physical eyes closed, cross your eyes and look upward toward the third eye.  Do this with the intention to "see with the third eye."  I don't think of this as anything magic.  To me it is just a way to further re-enforce that I am placing my intent to see nonphysically.

 When I wrote about this in my book I didn't understand as much about what nonphysical sight is as I do now.  Now that I do understand more, I don't utilize this eye switch technique much any more.

I, too, am glad for the explanation as I didn't understand it either. Now it makes sense. I've been doing these exercises to try to improve my third eye seeing.  Thanks Bruce. ;-)

Hi All,
         I started doing this some years ago, and it works great once you 'get it working'. The first really vivid experience I had, I was staring into the 3-D blackness, with no sense at all of my physical surroundings. Suddenly, there was a huge 'eyeball', about the apparent size of a beach ball, with a green iris, right there in front of me, just staring. It was so vivid and 'real' it startled me right out of the state.....  I am sure it wasn't an actual 'eyeball', but rather my translation of being non-physically observed, if you know what I mean. I have since learned not to be startled by this sort of thing  ;)
