Title: Retrieval of Darryl
Post by Jeffrey Williams on Feb 22nd, 2005 at 11:46pm
A couple of weeks ago I was asked by an acquaintance of my sister in Michigan to check on two of her family members who'd died, a brother who died in December 2004 and a nephew who died around June 2004.  I've received her permission to post this account on AKC.  The brother's name is Darryl, the nephew is Daniel.

I did my breathing preparation and then had a discussion with the Sharrah, the guide who oversees me and the helpers I work with.  I sense her presence as feminine and as an energy essence rather than a specific person.  She communicates with me in what Robert Monroe referred to as rotes – packets of thought, information, etc. that hit you all at once.  I used to have lots of trouble unraveling these but I noticed this time it was much easier.  Guess I’ve improved.

Sharrah and I discussed a few issues personal to me and then she showed me a heart-expanding exercise.  I expanded my heart energy outward in a wave in all directions.  As the wave expanded, I had to expand to be able to continue sensing the energy.  As I did, I felt a wave of love energy coming back to me, increasing it.  This wasn’t a sentimental version of love – it was more like a force of energy.  Images flashed through my mind of people I’d had a heart connection to over the course of my life.  I briefly sensed a beautiful outdoor environment with many trees, green grass and blue skies.  I sensed it as a meeting place where all could meet and experience this pure love unimpeded by fear, regret, etc.

A helper I’ve referred to previously as the Professor took over.  He had me raise my heart energy into my third eye, I assume to help me perceive better.  When that connection was secure we began to travel to Darryl.  The environment around him was filled with sadness and remorse.  I could strongly sense his remorse over his nephew’s death and his “not being there” for him.  Then I got a barrage of so much information I didn’t really know how to sift through it.  The following is not necessarily the order the information came, but in a manner that I can present the story in an understandable (to me) way.

Daniel, the nephew, and Darryl, the uncle, were very much alike.  Darryl had a problem with cocaine when younger, but had managed to kick the habit.  Cigarettes and coffee became the substitute?  I believe the drugs weakened his heart  but what really did it was a broken heart.  I got sketchy information about that – not even a great impression of a love life.  I couldn’t get a strong impression here so felt it might not be my business or germane to retrieving him.

I got the sense the family was very close and the family history was convoluted.  I got information about twins, one or both who died, but that it related to a grandmother – Darryl’s or Daniels??  There’s a family secret involved here but I don’t know how much it related to the uncle or nephew’s circumstances.

When Daniel (the nephew) was six I sensed something traumatic happened related to an accident where he and his mother were involved.  I saw Daniel with a cast on his arm.

At this point Darryl became more like a father figure to Daniel.  They were like close buddies.  I didn’t sense Daniel’s biological father around.  I couldn’t get an accurate sense of whether it was because of his death or their divorce.

Also I found myself repeatedly getting the names mixed up.  Hopefully I didn’t get elements of the stories mixed up as well!

At age ten, I sensed another traumatic experience, a separation and possibly another accident where Daniel witnessed someone’s death.  Whatever it was, he was traumatized to the point where his behavior changed – getting into trouble at school, other problems leading eventually to being influenced by the wrong crowd and leading to drugs.

I got the sense of another father figure, possibly a stepfather or mom’s boyfriend, had something to do with both the trauma and the change in Daniel’s behavior.

At this point, Darryl became either less involved or relegated to the sidelines.  Their relationship changed and he wasn’t as present.  When Daniel died he felt it was his fault for not being more present in the boy’s life, as if somehow if he’d tried harder, the boy would have gone down a different path.

After Darryl died he became somewhat aware of where his nephew was although they were in different places.  He was aware of the guides willing to help him move on, but couldn’t “leave the family”.

I was able to convince him that he could move on or learn ways to connect to the family that would be less restricting for everyone involved (such as through dream contact).  He agreed to go with the helpers.

Just before he left, I saw him playing with a lighter, sort of rotating it in his hand or flipping it and quickly lighting it.  I heard “lucky lighter”.  It looked gold and pretty nice.  He said he’d lost it awhile ago.

At this point my dog, who was laying on my bed, started having one of his nightmares.  Apparently Darryl heard this and asked what was that noise he was hearing.  I explained it was my dog.  He smiled and said he’d had a dog too.  I got flashing images of a German Shepard, a Collie and a Doberman Pinscher.  As Darryl started to recede I heard the word “Nickles” and wondered if it referred to one of the dogs.

Although I wanted at that point to go find Daniel, I was pressed for time.  The Professor told me I could try helping Daniel later.  I briefly sensed he was half aware in his afterlife environment but because of his state of being, it might take time to help him.  I returned to normal consciousness.

This retrieval was done three days after the first.

I felt the Professor’s energy around me who announced he had a surprise for me.  I realized he was talking about Hassan, an old retrieval buddy with whom I go back lifetimes.  Hassan appeared and took me to Daniel who was still in a drug-induced dreamlike state that was similar to where he was before he’d overdosed.

As I entered his space, I got many images I couldn’t make sense of.  I asked Hassan what I should do and he told me to keep focusing on Daniel.  As I did I could sense dark energy all around him.  I began doing energy work, using the seeing it not there technique and other things all at once.  I asked Hassan to connect to me energetically through our heart centers to increase my ability to sense more.

Suddenly I had a knowing … and I knew exactly what I needed to do for Daniel.  It was like he was stuck in a cocoon of dark energy.  I surrounded him with light and high energy and used it to detach him from the area he’d drift to.  At first I wanted to take him to a beach setting, but decided he’d be more comfortable in a park-like setting.  I carried him and shifted us to a reception area park and set him down at a picnic table.

He lay unconscious with his head on the table.  The warm yellow sun was beating down on us.  I knew it’s rays were healing to his spirit body.  Hassan sat across from me and we patiently waited for Daniel to come to.  As he began to stir I manifested a thought-form hot dog and began eating it.

He seemed groggy but was aware enough to talk.  He asked me who I was.  As he did I gave him something like milk to drink.  I told him that I was a friend of his Aunt Diane.  He seemed to accept this.  He asked me how he got here.  I replied I’d been sent to look for him, found him passed out and brought him here.  Then he said he though he’d died but that it must have been another hallucination while he was high.

I heard a voice (not Hassan’s) in my head firmly say “Tell him the truth!”  I wasn’t sure if the timing was right yet and I hesitated.  “Tell him!” the voice said.  So I did.  I said yes, as a matter of fact, you did die.  He asked me how he could be dead when he could see and hear me.  I explained that only our bodies die and that our consciousness lives on in other realms.

At this point I got that he was a crystal meth addict, but he died from a hiball or drug cocktail – several drugs mixed together.  The crystal part could be overlay on my part from recent television viewing.  But I kept getting it so maybe not.

I got a picture of the following:  when Daniel overdosed, he went into severe shock and convulsions.  He either partially chocked on his vomit or swallowed his tongue.  Anyway, it was not a pretty death.

I got the name Karen which I believe was his mother’s name or it started with a K – which was a departure from the D names I was already aware of in the family.

At this point helpers dressed as orderlies were around us and I sensed they were ready to take Daniel away.  Then he surprised me and asked if his uncle died.  The reason I was surprised is that his uncle died six months after his own death.  But apparently even though they were in separate afterlife areas, and he was in his dream-like, drug-hazed state, he’d been aware enough to pick up on that.

I remember that prior to retrieving his uncle I’d suspected Daniel was partially aware of his uncle although not very lucid.  I explained all of this to Daniel.  I also told him that at some point his uncle would be visiting him.  He asked me where he was going.  I explained that he’d go to a hospital setting because he still had the energy of his drug use in his energy body and it would take some time for it to clear.

The guides were eager to take him away and so they left.  During our discussion, I noticed bits of dark energy popping up around him that I would clear away.  After Daniel left, I asked Hassan if I’d picked up any of his energy during the retrieval that I needed to get rid of.  He surprised me by saying yes.

He took me to an area of energy where I floated around these funny electrical energy spheres.  He said they’d help clear and remove energy patterns that weren’t mine.  As these electrical energy spheres touched me, my back on the lower right side where I have a subluxation began to hurt.  My body even jerked a few times.  It was painful.  Hassan said the pain would subside and sure enough it did within 30 seconds.  Then I felt a warm peace descend over me.

After awhile I returned to normal consciousness.

Title: Re: Verification from Relative
Post by Jeffrey Williams on Feb 23rd, 2005 at 12:17am
Hi All.

I was able to speak briefly to the relative.  Here's the verification I've gotten so far.

1.  Relationship between the two men.  Daniel and Darryl were very much alike.  They were very close as well.  Darryl was a father figure to Daniel.

2.  Darryl's remorse over Daniel's death.  Darryl indeed felt responsible when Daniel died of the overdose.  She confirmed that he felt if he'd been there for him more then his death could have been prevented.

3.  Darryl's drug use.  At first she didn't remember Darryl using any hard drugs, but later a few minutes later remembered he indeed had done coke in high school.

4.  Broken Heart.  Both the relative I had contact with and a sister have been saying all along that Darryl died of a broken heart.  No further details were given (nor did I ask).

5.  Daniel's Traumas Growing up.  Although this relative wasn't alwayss present during Daniel's childhood, she said she knew for a fact that he was constantly having accidents.  She believes that it was an unconscious attempt to gain attention.  Apparently Daniel was shuffled back and forth between his mother and father (divorced) and neither really wanted him.

6.  Another Father Figure relating to Another Trauma.  His mother remarried and had another child, although the relative couldn't verify at what age Daniel was at that point.

7.  Relationship with Darryl Becomes Sidelined.  Because of being constantly shuffled between his parents, Darryl was less present in Daniel's life.  He later felt it was his fault for not being more present in his life that Daniel became involved in drugs.

8.  Dogs.  At first the relative replied she was only aware of her brother having a cat.  The name Nickles didn't ring any bells.  When I mentioned the flashing images of the german shephard, the doberman and the collie, she replied that they'd had each of those types of dogs as children.  Then suddenly she exclaimed, "Oh, I wonder if you're talking about Nicky!"  Nickey was an Alaskan malamut they'd had while growing up.  Of course, I have no idea what that breed looks.  Perhaps he tried to show me an image and it didn't register.  So Darryl spoke the name of the dog.

There were other elements that were intriguing but didn't really verify anything.  For instance, her grandmother died the same day as Daniel's funeral.  Although she didn't know all the details of Daniel's final moments nor what drugs he died of, she felt he was doing more than snorting as his bruised and puffy hands indicated he was shooting up as well.  But she knew nothing of twins in the family or any secret regarding twins.

There was other information the relative couldn't verify because she wasn't privy to it.  But for the most part I thought I got some good verification.

Love and light,

Jeff,

Congrats on your retrieval and verification.

The story of these two individuals is very unfortunate. What's really disappointing is that they did not meet up right after the older one passed away. This suggests that they both had some hangups such depression, energy body damage. I hope they have a re-union soon.

excellent retrieval Jeff, very good verification also. I remember how it is to get rotes..they come with confusion, but you sorted it out well. I noted negative energy does enter the body where our weakest points seem to be but it can be cleared very fast, then later it becomes instantaneous I suspect. I felt very good reading about Daniel going to the hospital from the park with the warm sun. I think the sun is healing too.

Mike,

You're right on all counts.  I sensed the uncle was eager to visit the nephew, but that the nephew will need to rest a bit before that happens.

Alysia,

Yes.  I noted the sun working on Daniel too.  Thanks for the encouragement.  The verification is encouraging.  As you know, when you're starting out the verification comes in bits and pieces.  You do get some, but since you're brought to the person/people by Helpers, it can be difficult to verify.

So it's nice to have that verification but it really serves more as a way to measure how well you're balancing the perceiver/interpreter.  Like Gordon, I'm at the point I'm moving away from needing verification to prove that it's real.

Also, I haven't done as many retrievals in the past two years as I did when I started.   But I enjoy helping others this way and enjoy interacting with the Helpers and Guides I've met.  They always seem to have surprises up their sleeves.

So I'll probably be doing more now.

Thanks for the support.

Love and light,

Jeff,
this is great, and exactly what many of the new posters need to see in detail.  Thanks for taking the time to get it all in perspective.

Congratulations, a lovely bit of work there my friend.

Jeff;
What a great retreival and validation!
Those are the retreivals stories that i miss, and it's a must for beginners and all of us alike to know that it is possible to do it with validation, even if it take time to get validation.
My hat to you my friend.

Thank you for sharing and posting it...:)

Jeff, fantastic retrievals. I too have missed reading retrieval stories and am SO very happy that Bruce created this forum also just for retrievals.  I am wondering if your work with your light body has helped you in doing these retrievals.

With Love,

Dear Jeff ~

I just happened to stop in this forum and was so pleased to find your posts!  This is very interesting and enlightening to me, as I definitely fall into the beginner category when it comes to retrievals.  I loved hearing about your helpers and how they helped you work with energy and enhancing your perception.  And of course I love that you were able to get significant validation!  I understand that you don't really need this anymore, but it is so reassuring for those of us still at the point of needing it.  Thank you for sharing this in such careful detail.

Love, Sydnei    :)

Jeff,

Thank you for posting such a detailed and complete account of your exploration, retrievals and verfications.  You have done a great service for other visitors by recounting such a fine example of the Art of Retrieval.

How long have you been doing retrievals?  How did you learn to do them?  Do you have any tips or suggestions for beginners?

Jeff, can't thank you enough,

Bruce

Marilyn, Romain, Sydney and Gordon,

Thank you so much for the support.  I've slowed down in doing retrievals the past couple of years and am hoping this will be the beginning of more activity in that area as well as other exploration.

Love and light,

Jeff

Bruce,

Thanks.  I learned the art of retrieval from you!  I started following your website about four years ago.  I was working on a novel about the Afterlife then and was doing research.  I followed a link from the Near-Death website and was immediately hooked.  In no time at all, I realized that I would one day be doing retrievals.

I didn't post right away but lurked around your site for nearly a year.  I bought and read all of your books and ordered the Friday Harbor Workshop tapes.  As I went through the workshop tapes I began doing retrievals.  At that point, I believe, I began posting.

After I finished the workshop tapes, I practiced on my own.  I met helpers and guides who began showing me different ways to improve my ability to perceive on the inner planes.

Actually, some of my earlier retrievals are posted in the archives.  I was the guy who retrieved the fireman (Christopher) who died in the World Trade Center and was "stuck" his parents house for months after he died.  I think that's in an old newsletter or the archives too.

I come from an intense meditation background (15 years) and have done some non physical traveling before as part of my other spiritual work.  But this was the first time I focused on it and in terms of service (retrievals).

To beginners I'd say to keep practicing.  When I first started I got a few opportunities for verification, but for the most part had to operate on faith that what I was experiencing and perceiving was mostly accurate.  Later, I got more intense opportunities for verification through requests from people I knew.

Also, if you can learn some form of meditation, that might be helpful as it assists you in learning to quiet your mind and emotions and tune into your spirit.  It's also quite beneficial to all areas of your life!

As far as working with guides and helpers, I know some fear has been expressed as to the possibility of meeting up with "negative entities".  Robert Monroe affirmation is a wonderful way to set your intent for the highest interactions.  Also, the preparation work you do is essential in helping to raise your energy enough to perceive and be of assistance in these levels.  Using your common sense is always good.  If it doesn't feel right then tell it to leave -- or leave yourself.

But a lot of times your own expectations may color or influence your experience, so the best advice is to expect the best.

I would also advise beginners to read up on the subject.  There are your books, of course, and Robert Monroe's.  There's also Robert Bruce, Robert Peterson, William Buhlman, Robert Moss and other excellent explorer/writers who are MUST-READS.

Also, when you explore/retrieve, make sure you keep a journal by you and as soon as you are done write it down (or go to your computer immediately and start typing).  A handful of times I said I'd do the notes later and either went to sleep or did something else, only to find I couldn't remember a thing later when I tried to write it down.

And last but not least, find a good support group.  There are many experienced retrievers here who are willing to hold that space of support.  It's really necessary because often you do doubt what you're doing and perceiving -- even when you've had verification.  It takes awhile to gain trust and confidence in what you're doing.

Hope this helps.

Love and light,

Jeff

_______

hi Jeff! my storys about the same as yours even to around the same time you came aboard here. just wanted to endorse everything you say worked the same way for me. are u my clone? lol.
I'm wishing to elaborate about meeting negativity from my perspective. I might mention that in developing I met far more negativity in living acquaintances than I ever came across out there. I had assistance also. a feeling of being "watched." lol. I mean in friendly terms. I had asked for guidance. In terms of what u said of asking for the "highest interactions" is important I learned first hand here in physical reality. since I had asked for that I received it, but for all appearances it didn't look like I was getting "the highest" interaction. I'm not making a speech here to anyone, but just sharing. What the guides were trying to impress me with back then was I wanted things to turn out what was best for me and I wanted smooth, sychronization of events. right. still talking about physical reality as I had separated the two worlds. well, things didn't proceed that orderly. lol. crash. finally, the two worlds overlapped to the extent (dreams and obes) that assistance impressed me that I did not know what the highest good was, so when I got out of the way of it, then I could be shown what the highest good was for all concerned. whew. almost got steamrolled a couple of times. lol. ever see those cartoons where the character is flattened, and they get up and become 3 dimensional again? that was me back in 2002. I finally managed to allow the highest good by admitting I didn't know what it was and I haven't stopped laughing since. is why I joke around with the guides and tell them they are always pulling a fast one on me and they get a kick out me too.  I always joke with them and say, hey! I knew that already, and they say, yea, right! fondly, alysia

Alysia,

Yeah, we could be clones!  Lol!

Your "2002" experience is a good example of learning to surrender.  I've had several of those!  I remember not getting a part in a play five years ago and being extremely upset.  The play, a comedy, was wonderfully written.  The playwright and the acting troupe seemed to be "up and coming".  I auditioned well and the director seemed to really like my work.

The callback situation was intense.  I must have been there three hours or more and they kept calling me in the room to read (there were five or six of us).  Finally, it seemed to be whittled down to about three of us.  One of the guys I read with a lot relied on facial mugging and indicating.  Jim Carrey notwithstanding, it was annoying because whenever we read together it felt like he and I were acting in different scenes on different continents.  But the directors seemed to like him.

I didn't get the part.  For weeks I was crushed -- a perfect opportunity dangled like a carrot in front of me and then gone.  I railed at my guides who remained silent.  Maybe I got one "it was for your higher good" but if I did it quickly got drowned out with complaints from me.

I went to see the play when it opened.  It was so badly executed I was shocked.  It was a La Ronde type play, and the scene I was being considered for was one of the worst in its execution.  And yes, they'd cast the mugger.

Needless to say, I was so thankful I didn't get cast in that play.  If I had, I'd have been miserable.  Also, prior to auditioning for that play I was just finished up with a play where there'd been a lot of difficulty with the artistic director and the company members were planning a coup!  So I was not in a place where I'd want to deal with yet another tense/unhappy circumstance.

For me, this was a demonstrable experience of why something occurred (or didn't occur) for my highest good.  Now when I don't get a part, I still get disappointed sometimes but I also wonder if maybe my not getting it was for my higher good.

Certainly, I've got even more intense examples of surrender in my life.  But this one comes to mind because I just auditioned (thought I blew them away!) for a part that could be a career maker and it doesn't look like I got it.

There are times when words like "for my higher good" taste like bitter medicine.  But my past experience has shown that usually it all works out for the highest and best in the long run.

Love and light,

Jeff

Well, it has been almost two months since you posted, and it is still an interesting read.
I don't know why I decided to look at this today other than that I haven't had alot of time recently to read and I am just starting to catch up. I found two little nice messages for me embedded in here and they have nothing to do with retrievals.

One was about your going to the place where the energy orbs were used to help cleanse you. I felt that! Well I've been pushing myself lately and in order to feel helped Iwas just yesterday remembering a scene from a kid's book....A Wrinkle in Time...and the heroine goes through an icy cold region in space conciousness and ends up on a safe planet where creatures who can't see but have great sense of touch sort of run their "hands" over her to thaw and heal her. I think it is a  great image. The orbs topped it off. I can get shivers just thinking of the two things together.

Your audition story was timely for me and thank you for sharing it. I just did not get a job where I have temped for some months and worked very hard on a project I care about. I know I keep resisting it but there are problems in that department and I wanted to put blinders on and pretend I could function in spite of them. I was very upset when my contract was not renewed. But I know that audition story was written for me to read! Thanks.

So have you been on any other retrievals in the last couple of months? You have interesting stories.I remember the NY fireman. Please post again soon (or maybe you did and I will find it soon).

Dear Lucy,

Thanks for the reply.  I was kind of shocked to see this thread at the top of the list but glad to see your name.

I don't think I have any threads I've started.  And I haven't been on any retrievals since then, although I've participated in a couple of dream retrievals.

However, I'm about to embark upon a project with my sister who lives in Michigan.  She's got a lot of mental and health problems and I just got her permission to work with her non-physically.  So, among other things, I thought I'd try retrieving any personality aspects for her that had gotten separated.

I tried this with a friend who lived in Holland a couple of years ago.  Although he didn't have any aspects that I retrieved, I was able to get information that he then used to improve his health.  This will, however, be the first time I've done it for someone this close to me.

So it should be interesting.  I know my sister will be okay with posting about this, but, of course, I will still have to ask.

Very interesting about the children's book.  I could really sense or feel the story as you related it.  It's very funny that you talked about your job as today I've been going through some intense "I hate my job" feelings.  In fact, I almost quit.  Actually, reading your response helped get me out of that cycle, so you've been helpful to me today too.

With this job, I too thought I could avoid the problems here.  It wasn't until three weeks ago I realized that I just couldn't take it anymore.

I've started teaching meditation in the past year and I'd much rather be doing that and helping people than working a support position in a law firm.  So I'm going to be putting more and more of my energy into that.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted (no pun intended).

Love and light,
