CHAPTER 3: THE HEMI-SYNCŪ MODEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS
It was at The Monroe Institute (TMI) that I learned to explore our Afterlife in a six-day program called, Lifeline. Before you begin the actual exercises intended to teach you how to explore our afterlife I'd like to pass along one of the nonphysical reality navigation tools I learned while participating in TMI programs. I call it a Hemi-SyncŪ Model of Consciousness which says:
Once you can identify the feeling of any area within consciousness, merely remembering and re-experiencing that feeling will automatically shift your awareness back to that area of consciousness.
Hemi-Sync is a patented audio technology in which specific sound patterns have been demonstrated to automatically shift one's awareness to specific areas of consciousness. Robert Monroe, out of body traveler, author, founder of the Monroe Institute, and the inventor of Hemi-Sync, used the term "Focus level" to label the areas of consciousness he explored in his out of body experiences. One of these, called Focus 10, is a state of consciousness in which the physical body is sound asleep, while the mind remains awake and alert. During TMI programs participants listen to specific Hemi-Sync sound patterns during exercises intended to teach them how to shift one's awareness to Focus 10. TMI program trainers tell participants that once they've learned to shift their awareness to Focus 10 using the Hemi-Sync sounds, the sounds will no longer be necessary to do so. According to the trainers each Focus level (10, 12, 15, etc.) has a specific feeling and the Hemi-Sync sound patterns serve to guide one to experience and identify the feeling of each of these specific states of consciousness. Thereafter, according to the TMI trainers, the act of remembering that specific feeling automatically shifts one's awareness to that specific area of consciousness or Focus level.
Of course I did not believe the trainers and was certain that if I didn't have the magic Hemi-Sync sound patterns playing into my ears I would never be able to get to any of the Focus levels. Suffice it to say that in time my experience taught me the TMI trainers were right, and that resulted in what I call the Hemi-Sync model of consciousness.
As you work your way through the exercises in this Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook you'll be learning to shift your awareness to and Focus Attention within many different areas, or states of consciousness. Each has specific feelings associated with it, and you can return to any area of consciousness just by remembering its feeling to the point of re-experiencing that feeling. Throughout the exercises in this book you will be asked to focus your attention on sensing any feeling associated with the exercise. Each time you do, you are learning to shift your focus of attention to specific areas of consciousness. The places people exist in our afterlife are specific areas of consciousness. The Hemi-Sync model of consciousness is a tool you'll be learning to use to go There.

To make workshops more affordable I've rolled the price back. The price for attending workshops is now 250 $US for those who pay their 50 $US deposit at least two weeks before the workshop date 275 $US for later deposits. I'm so pleased to see that so many folks who have never attended the workshop are successfully using these audiotape sets and posting their retrieval and exploration experiences on the Conversation Board at the website. One of these posts told the story of retrieval of a fireman from the World Trade Center Towers area. This retrieval brought the explorer verification that his experience was real, and comfort to the fireman's friends and family.
Improvements to Shopping at the Website
A new shopping cart system is installed on the website's Credit Card purchasing page. It is part of the Paypal system now used for all online purchases at the website. This system provides a more integrated, easy to use shopping experience. You do not need to open or have a Paypal account to make purchases with a credit card. If you already have a Paypal account you will be able to use your already registered bank or credit card account to make you purchases.Credit Card payments:
Those of you who have visited the website know that you can now use credit cards to make purchases at the website. A web company called Paypal will process your credit card purchases of books, tapes and workshop payments at their secure website. You can order autographed copies of any of my five books and I'll sign and ship them to you.
